Who is Manoela Wunder?
A native of Rio de Janeiro, violinist and multi-instrumentalist Manoela Wunder has established herself in LA as an exceptionally versatile artist. Classically trained, she has a strong passion for improvisation in jazz, blues, and rock and is an active composer and arranger. Notable live performances/recordings include Janelle Monáe, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, Kygo, Renée Fleming, The Tenors, Common, Deltron 3030, Amanda Palmer, Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra, Frank Ocean, Marco Antonio Solís, Gloria Trevi, and a Quincy Jones benefit with Lang Lang. Manoela has also been featured in films, TV shows and commercials, and regularly plays as a solo guest violinist with local acts. Ms. Wunder has performed with a wide range of orchestras and chamber groups in the US and Europe.
Her music has been heard in the most prominent halls nationwide, including Hollywood Bowl, The Forum, Greek Theatre, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. She is a multiple prizewinner of competitions in the United States, Europe and South America and has been a guest at many prominent festivals throughout her career. Manoela has been active in the local singer-songwriter scene. Her debut solo album “Past/Healing” showcases her string arrangements as the foundation for her writing and feature her on several instruments.
