8/17/2012 – First rehearsal with my new piano trio!! Recital in the fall planned, repertoire includes sonatas and the Mendelssohn trio in D minor.

8/16/2012 – Shooting a scene for Dan Perri’s feature film “Sharkskin” at the Pasadena Playhouse today! Period piece in the 1940’s set in New York about a tailor who struggles with moral issues when asked to work for a mob boss.

8/7/2012 – At a commercial shoot for the Scientology Center in San Jacinto.

7/31/2012 – Playing with the Korean Philharmonic at Disney Hall tonight!! All-Beethoven program includes Symphony no. 9 and Triple Concerto.

7/25/2012 – Just joined the RMALA! Excited to be a part of the recording music artists’ team 🙂

7/6/2012 – Recording the track “Si Me Dejas Ahora” with Junes Zahdi at the studio. Video shoot will be at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro.

7/3/2012 – Just got hired at the Altadena Academy of Music! Instruments taught: violin, viola, piano, cello.

6/28/2012 – Got new headshots taken today and they look grrrrreat!! Look out for a new album in the photos section 🙂

6/19/2012 – Recording a really fun piece called “Crickets” at REDCat (Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater) next to Disney Hall! Will have an audio and video recording of the performance 🙂

6/9/2012 – First “Les Trois” concert tonight at the Sherman Oaks United Methodist Church! 6 PM 🙂

6/2/2012 – Playing the Beethoven Serenade at 5 PM at the Silverlake Lounge today as part of the Classical Revolution!

5/26/2012 – Playing with the San Fernando Valley Symphony tonight at the Thousand Oaks Performing Arts Center. Program includes Mozart Symphony no. 40 and works by James Domine and orchestra musicians.

5/23/2012 – SO excited to start improv classes at the Groundlings today!!

5/20/2012 – Played a violinist in the NYFA thesis film “Piotr’s Seventh.”

5/13/2012 – Wonderful concert at St. James Church today. Poulenc Organ Concerto was the highlight!

4/5/2012 – Had a great first rehearsal with my new horn trio “Les Trois”! Debut performance planned for June as of now 🙂

3/13/2012 – Rehearsing for new opera “Woman in the Wall”, with performances March 23, 24, 30, and 31 at the Masonic Center in Culver City. Very interesting work, world premiere! With modern and baroque instruments. Here is the company’s website:

– Playing “La Boheme” with Center Stage Opera at the Madrid Theatre in Canoga Park tonight and tomorrow. Wonderful cast, great conductor, will be a lovely performance.

2/12/2012 – Recorded an etude for solo violin by very talented composer Alistair Cooper.

– Played a great concert with the Santa Cecilia Orchestra today! It was at the Occidental School of Music Auditorium and the program was the Gershwin piano concerto and Dvorak Symphony no. 7.

2/3/2012 – Spent the day at Warner Brothers Studios playing in the hit ABC series “Suburgatory”! Be sure to check out the episode (season finale), airing May 16 🙂

1/28/2012 – Performed today at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills for the Ball of Artists 2012 as part of the Pacific Standard Time performance and public art festival.

11/04/2011Tropix had a wonderful performance at the Parker School in Waimea and is gearing up for two weekend performances, one in Hilo at the Astronomy Center and one at the Fairmont Orchid in Kona. More updates soon!

10/24/2011 – Manoela is headed to the Big Island in Hawaii next week, with two concerts and an in-school presentation. She will be performing as a member of her duo, Tropix.

10/17/2011 – Huge apologies for the lack of news. Please check the blog for more detailed explanations 🙂 Manoela spent a productive summer in Europe, with performances in France and Germany. Chicago will be her home for just another month! More updates soon…

7/8/2011 – Performance with the “Scott Duo” was a huge success, with more performances planned for the fall! Hope to get some samples for posting soon 🙂

6/28/2011 – This coming Monday, July 4, Manoela is playing with the “Scott Duo” at St. Bede Episcopal Church in Coral Gables, FL, at 5 PM. Program includes Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy, Paganini, Saint-Saens, and Broadway!

6/27/2011 – Manoela had a great performance of “Philosophy”, a play which she produced, co-wrote, and starred as lead at Gorilla Tango Theatre yesterday. The show was filmed, so look for a preview in the coming months 🙂

6/24/2011 – After a successful performance with the “Treble” Duo in Walnut Creek, CA yesterday, Manoela is planning fall performances on the West Coast and Midwest! Manoela played the Prokofiev Duo and the Debussy violin sonata.

6/12/2011 – First of all, sorry for the lack of news! This is my last month in town so things are piling up like crazy…now on to the good stuff 🙂 Be sure to check the “Info” section for violin and acting bios., and a full repertoire list! Will be working on updating the blog also, and hopefully adding some multimedia.
